work should be original and previously unpublished. we accept multiple submissions in poetry and photography categories. 

simultaneous submitting is frowned upon. if you've got a driving urge to do so, however, remember that it is your responsibility to contact the VM editorial board (vademecummag@mail.com) should your work be accepted elsewhere. the opposite applies. 

your cover letter should include your age, grade in school (if applicable), school name, and city and country of residence. if you've been published in other journals, tell us! also, write about your hobbies, interests, favorite writers, etc.
